AISLE SAY Chicago

WADE STEKETEE has worked in state courts and court research for over 20 years, and is currently blending her professional research skills with her true passion: the theatre. She moved to Chicago in 2005 after eight years in Washington DC and her work there with a national court research organization. While she continues to work as a consultant in court and justice research, she is exploring the fact that there is theatre in all of the work she has been doing, and possibly plays that need to be written.

Steketee is a native of Grand Rapids, Michigan, received an undergraduate degree from Harvard College, an M.S.W. with a specialty in child welfare policy from Washington University in St. Louis, and additional doctoral training at the University of Michigan and University of Pittsburgh. In high school and college she was deeply involved in theatrical productions, and has been an active theatergoer in many cities including DC, New York, London, and now Chicago, her new home town. In recent years she has been a script reviewer for individual theater companies and an on-line play publisher.
